In 1983, Jeff helped start a theatre group. This group was based on the methods of Viola Spolin and lasted for 10 years. The present Auroville Improv Group was inspired by the visits of two amazing Improv artists from Finland, Kari and Mike, who sparked an interest in starting Improv again and had a hell of a time doing superb stuff together.

Since then the group has continued more or less continuously. During 2006/2007 Improv was included as a class in the AV Theatre School.

In March 2007 Pamela Joy, a professional clown and mime from Ashland, Oregon, USA, led the spectacular mime show “Fools Rush In” with us from the Auroville Improv Group.
